DCS institutes policy changes The following report was released April 23 by the Dayton Christian Schools Board of Trustees and administrators: Dayton Christian Schools Inc. (DCS) recognizes that God, through His Word, the Bible, is the absolute authority and basis for all truth. Under that authority, desiring to work with the local church and evangelical community, we seek to assist Christian families in their biblical responsibilities to train their children to become Christlike and fulfill God's purpose for their lives in the home, church and society. Powerpoint to view) Classroom Ten Commandments controversy in Kentucky gains momentum The controversy regarding the posting of the Ten Command-ments began in Kentucky when the U.S. Supreme Court in the 1980 case of Stone v. Graham ruled that the Ten Commandments posted on a classroom bulletin board were unconstitutional. The court ruled that students may be induced to venerate and possibly obey the dictates of the Ten Commandments. In the majority opinion, that was ruled unconstitutional. More Ohio push for school reform inches forward There are encouraging signs that genuine reform in Ohio's educational system is possible - if not this year, then in the next biennial budget.More Defense of Marriage Act has sponsors State Rep. Bill Seitz, R-Cincinnati, plans to introduce Ohio's Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) this spring. The bill has 39 co-sponsors. More
