Let's go public on creation

by Ronnie E. Cooper

I am not about to write about our personal and private matters. This is a serious subject open to the knowledge or judgment of all. It is public. I am hoping the reader is sharing a common interest, a public interest, in the most important questions of our lives.

Where did we come from? Why are we here? What are we suppose to do while we are here? Where do we go when we die? If the public doesn't know the answers to these questions, it's because we were too private about a public issue!

Biblical creation, if true, is the most important issue of the day! If false, we still have the questions, yet no good answers, for evolution is not a good answer. It is so full of assumptions, believed without physical proof and without logical reason, that it is blind faith. This faith is the basis of 95 percent of the world's religions. Only three orthodox faiths are not based upon evolution: Christianity, Judaism and Islam. Even these have mixed their faith with evolution.

We also have the issue of biblical creation being true, but few believe it enough to give a convincing argument on its behalf. Therefore, another set of answers is delivered.

This public issue affects people, community, government and churches. This public article is more than a private opinion. The facts are on the table; evolution is a fairy tale for the public. It is no deeper than an artist's conception or a writer's wit, unless the public remains ignorant of those facts. It's easy to be ignorant. The public schools don't teach these facts. The public zoos, museums, amusement parks, TVs, newspapers, etc., don't proclaim them. Even churches ignore literal creation as too controversial or turn it into "stories" and allegory. It is unimportant. Their story is strictly evolution.

The consequences are many. Everywhere evolution is believed is on the increase, as is unbelief in the authority and truthfulness of the Bible. Laws are changed to suit this new belief: Roe v. Wade and prohibiting prayers or the Ten Commandments in public. Education is solely dedicated to this new belief, a faith based on nothing and describing everything. We wonder why education continues on a downward spiral?

We can change that. We can go public again. It's not a private matter! The most public method available to display works and facts of artistic, historical or scientific value is a museum. They are a public treasure chest. They contain what we hold dear and true. Yet, there is no major public museum on science or history in the world demonstrating God as creator. Is peace so valued that we forget the Prince of Peace?

Today, a major museum is being built, perhaps the first of many, to give our families the rest of the story. It will be in Kentucky and called "Answers in Genesis."

The ARK Foundation of Dayton Inc. would also like to see this happen in Ohio, preferably in the Miami Valley area. Several sites are suitable. One is available for a reasonable price. It is a possible beginning. Please call (937) 256-2759 or e-mail arkfoundation@arky.org if you would like to help or learn more about the plan.
