Focus on the Family in Cincinnati area for June 9 conference

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Focus on the Family is coming to the Cincinnati area June 9 to present the other side of the story regarding homosexuality. The one-day conference, "Love Won Out," is primarily led by former homosexual men and women and is designed to educate teachers, parents, youth leaders, pastors and concerned citizens on issues surrounding homosexuality.

"Love Won Out" features experts in the field of homosexuality and gender identity such as Joe Dallas, author, public speaker and counselor. A former homosexual activist and staff member of the pro-homosexual Metropolitan Community Church, Dallas works with men and woman struggling with homosexuality and related problems.

Other scheduled speakers include Mike Haley, a former homosexual who is Focus on the Family's youth and gender specialist; John Paulk, Focus on the Family's Homosexuality and Gender Department manager and host of "Love Won Out"; and Jane Boyer, nurse practitioner and former lesbian. They will address topics such as the clinical development of homosexuality, clarifying the relationship between homosexuality and genetics, responding to the gay agenda in schools, homosexual recovery and how to respond to the homosexual community in truth and love.

Focus on the Family's "Love Won Out" conference will be from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saturday, June 9 at Tri-County Assembly of God, 7350 Dixie Highway, Fairfield.
