LOUISVILLE, Ky. (EP) - Cable television's ecumenical religious "Odyssey Channel" will become the "Hallmark Channel" Aug. 6. Two years ago, Hallmark and the Jim Henson Co. bought an interest in the Faith and Values Network, founded by the National Interfaith Cable Coalition, and renamed it the "Odyssey Channel." Hallmark's parent company, Crown Media, has completed its purchase of the network. Once relaunched, it will reach 65 million subscribers in more than 100 countries.
